ARDEN STROUD
ERWIN -- Arden Stroud, 81, of 300 North 9th St., died Sunday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Erwin, served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from Burlington Mills after 30 years of service.
Mr. Stroud was the son of the late Robert and Lettie E. Price Stroud.
He is survived by son, Brent O. Stroud of Raleigh; a daughter, Jane Arden Cade of Bunnlevel; and five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Erwin with the Rev. Steve Reed officiating. Burial will be in Erwin Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Price Funeral Home and other times at the Stroud home at 300 North 9th St., Erwin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 608, Erwin, N.C., 28339; or to Erwin Senior Citizens Center.
