BROADIE SAMPSON SR.

The funeral for Broadie Sampson Sr., 91, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at New Spirit Ministries. The Reverend Dr. Freddie Barnes will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mr. Sampson died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late John Abner and Cora Reid Samp-son and was a graduate of Dillard High School. He retired as a construction worker with T.A. Loving Company.

He is survived by four sons, Ray Allan Sampson of St. Louis, Mo., Broadie Sampson Jr. of Goldsboro, Vonnell Robinson of Dudley and Jazell Robinson of Newton, Mass.; one daughter, Faye Jennette of Randolph, Mass.; one sister, Catherine Mickey Best of Mitchellville, Md.; and 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation hours will be from 4 until 7 p.m. today at Rhodes Funeral Home in Goldsboro. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Vonnell Robinson, at 102 Lorease Drive in Wellwood Estates, Dudley.

The funeral procession will line up at 1:20 on Wednesday afternoon at Rhodes Funeral Home, 708 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro.
