CHRISTINE MURPHY
Christine Holmes Murphy, 81, of 191 Grant Drive, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Harvest Baptist Church with Rev. Pete Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery.
Mrs. Murphy is survived by one daughter, Julia Mae Jackson of Goldsboro; two brothers, George S. "Pete" Holmes of Mount Olive and Milton Holmes of Burlington; one sister, Annie Mae Sauter of Mount Olive; two grandchildren, Mary Ann Hines and William Jackson, both of Goldsboro; and two great-grandchildren, Emily Caroline Jackson of Mount Olive and Kristen Hines of Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Murphy; her parents, Albert O. Holmes and Florence Outlaw Holmes; and a brother, Harvey Holmes.
The family will greet friends Friday from 2 until 3 p.m. at Harvest Baptist Church, and other times at 111 Poinsettia Drive, Goldsboro.
