MERLE D. EASON

KINSTON -- Merle Dawson Eason, 69, of 204 Glenwood Ave., died Monday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating.

Mrs. Eason was born in Lenoir County to the late Clinton and Della Pelletier Dawson and was the widow of Edward Allen Eason. She operated Eason Accounting for many years and was a member of Queen Street United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Eason White of Rockwell and Darlene Eason Pendergrass and husband, Bob, of Salisbury; a sister, Grace Hardy and husband, Bryan of Seven Springs; two brothers, J.B. Dawson and wife, Geraldine of Kinston, Roger Dawson and wife, Lucy of Chocowinity; and four grandchildren, Ashley C. White, Holly Eason White, Keeley A. White and Liam Eason Pendergrass.

The family will receive friends following the service on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, LaGrange.
