BARBARA WELLS

PIKEVILLE -- Barbara Lewis Wells, 64, of 317 Hardy Talton Road, died Monday at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Timothy Creel officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

A native of Edgecombe County, Mrs. Wells was the daughter of the late Robert Lewis and Betty Lee Lewis. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and was employed at Wayne Memorial Hospital for 18 years.

Mrs. Wells is survived by her husband, Kenneth Bryan Wells; two sons, Timothy Wells and wife, Jennifer, of Pikeville and Kenneth Bryan Wells Jr., also of Pikeville; one daughter, Barbara Victoria Wells Bissette and husband, Ernest, of Pikeville; three brothers, William "Bill" Lewis and wife, Charlie, James Tony Lewis and wife, Janet, and Jimmy "Buddy" Lewis and wife, Linda, all of Tarboro; a special sister-in-law, Judy Lewis-Silveri; and three grandchildren, Jamie Bissette, Betsy Bissette and Joshua Wells.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert "Shorty" Lewis and Linwood T. Lewis Sr.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to Pikes Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2494 Pikeville-Princeton Road, Pikeville, N.C., 27863.

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the service tonight, and other times at the home.
