MARY GARDNER
Mary Lassiter Gardner, 84, of 1603 E. Maple St., died Saturday in her home.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Gardner was a native of Lenoir County and was the daughter of the late Stephen and Emma Coker Lassiter and the widow of Edgar H. Gardner. She was retired from General Electric Carolina Welds Plant and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two daughters ad a son-in-law, Pamela G. McIntyre of Goldsboro and Paula G. and Ricky Carter of Clinton, one son Edgar Stephen Gardner of Safrit, Kuwait; two grandchildren, Elizabeth McIntyre and Brian Carter; one step-grandchild, Kelly Carter; and one brother, Raymond Lassiter of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and at the residence at other times.
Flowers are welcome although memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
