DAVID PENDER

PRINCETON - David Junior Pender, 54, died Thursday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

The funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Pender was born June 13, 1949, in Johnston County to the late Dixie Watson Pender. He was a member of the Smithfield Moose Lodge for many years. He worked with Jerry G. Williams Lumber Company for several years and most recently he worked with Canal Chip Corporation as a heavy equipment operator until he was unable to work due to illness.

Surviving are his wife, Dora Fail Pender, sons, Scott Pender of Grantham and Keith Pender and his wife, Deanna of Princeton, sisters, Joyce Owens and Barbara Grice both of Smithfield and grandchildren, Kean Powell, Cheyenne Powell and Gabrielle Pender.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service on Saturday night.
