BENNIE H. CASEY
Bennie H. Casey, 82, of 4783 US 70 East, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The Reverends Alan Lamm, Edward Tatum and Reynolds Smith will officiate. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Casey was a native of Wayne County, born on August 26, 1921 to the late Harvey and Lida Sutton Casey. He was a member and former deacon at Casey's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and was an active farmer in the Elroy community.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Mae Casey; two sons, Ben Casey Jr. of Goldsboro and Donny Casey of Winterville; one daughter, Iris Anne Marley of Garner; two brothers, Alex Casey of the Elroy community and John Paul Casey of Kinston; one sister, Annie Ruth Chancy of Ovedia, Fla.; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the service tonight at Howell Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
