KENLY -- David F. Peele, 77, of 829 Tedder Road, died Saturday his home.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Coley Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. George Arant will officiate. Burial will be in Kenly Cemetery.
Mr. Peele was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from the shipyard in Newport News, Va.
He is survived by two daughters, Diana P. Johnson of Washington, D.C., and Donna P. Walters of Pennsylvania; one son, Jimmy Peele of Virginia; two sisters, Eloise Fields of Nahunta and Jesse Lee of Mothershead of Pikeville; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Tedder Road, Kenly.
