Jesse Hines Jr., 81, 511 Olivia Lane, died Monday at Pitt Memorial Hospital of Greenville.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at The House of Prayer (formerly Goldsboro Chapel Church), 716 E. Elm St., with the Rev. Lemond Hines officiating. Burial will be in the new Spruill Cemetery.
He is survived by a daughter, Ida H. Sharp of Goldsboro; three sons, Hugh Turner, Jesse Hines III and Frankie Hines of Goldsboro; a brother, Robert Hines of Goldsboro; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel. At other times the family will receive friends at 1016 S. Claiborne St.
