RACHEL SIMMONS
The funeral for Rachel Townsend Simmons will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Deliverance Worship Center. 2114 S Slocumb St. Pastor Wade Everette will officiate. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Simmons is survive by five daughters, Pearlene Simmons, Nancy Bunn, and Marie Braswell of Goldsboro and Bessie Jordan and Leona Simmons of Clinton, Md.; two sons, Wilbert Simmons Jr. of Charleston, S.C., and Billy Simmons of Dudley; and 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 2 until 7 p.m. today at McIntyre Funeral Home and the family will be there to receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m.
