CHARLES WAHAB

Charles Edmundson, 87, formerly of 2015 N. Berkeley Boulevard, died Monday at Craven Regional Hospital in New Bern following several months of declining health.

The funeral was to be held today at 2 p.m. at Historical Hephzibah Baptist Church in Wendell. Burial was to be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Wahab was a native of Scranton, N.C., and was the son of the late Charles Edmundson Wahab and Alberta Silverthorne Wahab. He was a self-employed distributor, supplying service stations throughout Eastern North Carolina.

He was the widower of Vivian Pittman Wahab and Elizabeth Dean Wahab.

He is survived by a daughter, Diane W. de Echeandia of New Bern; a son, Ronald Stevens Wahab of Bath; a brother, Thomas W. Wahab of Kinston; a sister, Annie Boyd W. Luther of Virginia Beach, Va.; and four grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hurricane Relief Fund, Swan Quarter Christian Church, 975 Main St., Swan Quarter, N.C., 27885.
