SUDIE HOWARD
DEEP RUN -- Sudie Brown Howard, 91, of 2837 Sargett Brown Road, died Wednesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
She was the widow of Sargett Brown and Ralph Howard and was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Woodington Ward.
The funeral was to be held today at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Howard-Carter Funeral Home, with Bishop Gary Whaley officiating. Interment was to be in Harper Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Howard is survived by four daughters, Louise Jones and Ann Wisener of Deep Run, Alice Daughety of Kinston and Faye Batchelor of Albertson; five sons, Elwood Tyndall, Junior Brown and Donald Brown of Kinston, Clarence Brown of Deep Run, and Michael Brown of Seven Springs; three stepsons, Grover Howard, Dewey Howard and Danny Howard; two brothers, Gilbert Stanley and Milton Stanley of Deep Run; one sister, Erma Howard of Deep Run; and 24 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family received friends on Thursday night at the funeral home, and other times at the residence.
