Elgia Best, 77, died Sunday at Fremont Nursing Home.
The funeral will be conducted on Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. James Disciples of Christ Church in Fremont. The Rev. James L. Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda M. Best of Fremont; two sisters, Maebell Sampson and Cora L. Harper of Goldsboro; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 5:30 p.m. on Friday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel and the family will receive friends on Friday night from 7 until 8 at St. James Disciples of Christ Church.
