RUFFUS BAILEY

Ruffus L. Bailey, 65, of Olivia Lane, died Saturday at SunBridge Rehabilitation Care in Mount Olive.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Arthur Evans will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mr. Bailey was the son of the late Edward and Eliza Oliver Bailey. He attended Wayne County Public Schools, worked with Pigford Construction and retired as a brick layer for Bobby Middleton.

He is survived by two sons, Samuel Evans of Goldsboro and Alexander Bailey of Florida; one daughter, Latrice Bailey of Baltimore, Md.; one brother, James Bailey of Goldsboro; four sisters, Mary Elizabeth King and Lottie Mae Cates of Goldsboro, Lenora Simms of Pemberton, N.J., and Geneva Harris of Durham; two grandchildren; and a devoted friend, Frances Bryant of Goldsboro.

The viewing hours will be from 4 until 8 today at Rhodes Funeral Home in Goldsboro, with the family present to receive friends during the last hour.
