MARVIN NORWOOD
Marvin Franklin "Pops" Norwood, 86, a resident of the Pines, died Wednesday at his home.
A native of Guilford County, he was the son of the late Henry Sutton Norwood and Lector Stutts Norwood and was married to the late Mildred Roupe Norwood, whom he was extremely devoted to. Mr. Norwood had worked with Lee Inc. for many years in the Mount Olive and Goldsboro area.
A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Pines of Goldsboro, 380 Country Day Road, Goldsboro.
Mr. Norwood is survived by his extended family, Michael McDonald of Goldsboro and Ray McDonald Jr. of Mount Olive; his special friends, Glenn Faircloth, Wilton Hollowell and Cathy Holland, all of the Pines, and a special caregiver, Joy Turnage.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
