ADENA, Ohio -- Michael Lancaster-Grove, 39, of Adena, Ohio, died March 27 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

He was born on May 8, 1964, in Goldsboro. He attended the Buckeye Local School, the Jefferson County JVS and graduated from Buckeye Local High School in 1983. He was a licensed cosmetologist for 25 years and was the owner of Michael's Hair Design in Martins Ferry, Ohio. He had lived and worked in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami area as well as Pittsburgh, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Frank Grove; his maternal grandparents, Frank and Jeanette McCandless Hall; an uncle, Ira Hall; and an aunt, Lucille Sasser.

He is survived by his parents, Timothy and Annette Hall Grove of Adena; his paternal grandmother, Mary Ann Grove of Adena; his brother, Jerry Lancaster and his wife, Donelle, of Adena; a sister, Linda Berry and her husband, Bret, of Liberal, Mo.; and a special aunt, Alma Jenkins Denning of Goldsboro; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held on Wednesday, March 31, at 1 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, with Monsignor John Kolesar officiating. Interment was in Shortcreek Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
