Lydia Billtrace Parks died on Friday, April 2, at her home.

The funeral was to be held today at 1 p.m. at Wave of Glory Faith Center on U.S. 117, with Pastor Daniel Uzzell officiating. Burial was to be in Old Mill Cemetery.

Mrs. Parks was the daughter of the late William Arthur and Esther Barnes Wooten and was the wife of the late Leroy Parks. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Samuel Faison.

She is survived by a daughter, Joy Parks Faison of the home; a son, Donald (Linda) Wooten of Goldsboro; three stepdaughters, Shirley Jean Parks and Evelyn (Randy) Haymon of Long Island, N.Y., and Irene Parks of Hemstead, N.Y.; two sisters, Esther Leverne Wooten of Goldsboro and Gladys Holloman of East Orange, N.J.; a very special granddaughter, Nikki Parks Johnson of Goldsboro; a very special grandson, Billy Wynn of Goldsboro; and a host of other relatives, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The viewing was held Thursday from 2 until 8 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends from 7 until 8.
