MYRTIS M. DAVIS

KINSTON -- Myrtis Martin Davis, 90, of Meadows South, died Tuesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

The widow of William Thomas Davis, she was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and was retired from the Wayne County Schools as an elementary teacher.

The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Howard-Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Glen Mason officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will be on Thursday morning at 11 at Wayne Memorial Park near Goldsboro.

Mrs. Davis is survived by one daughter, Annette Davis Mason, and her husband, Bill, of Kinston; one son, Thomas L. Davis, and his wife, Deborah, of Raleigh; five grandchildren, Allen Mason of Kinston, Suzanne Sanders of Sanford, Michael Mason of Carolina Beach, Major Allison Hamilton of Fairview, and Diana Davis of Youngsville; and four great-grandchildren, Will Mason of Kinston, Mason Sanders of Sanford, Briley Sanders of Sanford and Ashlyn Taylor Hamilton of Fairview.
