IRMA CRUZ SANCHEZ
PIKEVILLE -- Irma Cruz Sanchez, 58, of 2475 Hwy. 581 North, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Cantano, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Gonzalo Cruz and Cruz Cotto Cruz and had been a resident of the United States for 42 years.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her husband, Venanco Sanchez; five sons, Luis Hernandez of Atlanta, Ga., Miguel Hernandez of Raleigh, Jose Hernandez of Mount Olive, Benny Sanchez of Pikeville and Robert Denny of Mount Olive; 14 grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters, Miligros Hernandez of Bronx, N.Y., Lupe Cruz of Bronx, N.Y., Lilly Cruz of Brooklyn, N.Y., Iris Cruz of Catano, Puerto Rico, Hilda Hernandez of Bronx, N.Y., Miguel Hernandez of Brooklyn, N.Y., Flex Cruz of Albany, N.Y. and Tisol Cruz of Bronx, N.Y.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
