FRANK NEWCOMB

SNOW HILL -- The funeral for Frank Lee Newcomb, 64, will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor-Edwards Funeral Home. The Reverends Phil Wood and Tony Glass will officiate. The committal service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Snow Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Newcomb died Wednesday at Greenfield Place in Greenville.

He was a native of Greene County and a member of Free Union Free will Baptist Church. Prior to becoming disabled, he was a welder. He had been a resident of Greenfield Place for over two years, due to declining health.

He is survived by his wife Alice Sipfle Cooper Newcomb of the home; a stepdaughter, Renea Cruse and husband, James, of Goldsboro; a stepson, Robert Cooper Jr. and wife, Karen, of Pikeville; a daughter, Cindy Morton of Lucama; a son, Marty Sauls of Wilson; sisters, Kathleen N. Owens and husband, Gordon, and Claudia N. Goff of Walstonburg and Linda N. Finch and husband, Dock, of Wilson; a brother, Austin Newcomb and wife, Ruby, of Wilson; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service on Friday night, and other times at the residence at 106 NW Fourth St., Snow Hill.
