DONALD HARTLEY

Donald Franklin Hartley, 63, of 1900 O'Berry Center Road, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday evening at 6:30 in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory. The Reverends Dennis Pollock, David Kriger and James Corbett will officiate. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Hartley was owner and operator of Hartley's Vacuum Repair Service & Sales where all his customers knew him as "Don the Vac Man." He was a member of Riverside Free Will Baptist Church in Princeton. He was also a member and past president of Waynesborough Kiwanis Club and had been honored with its Kiwanian of the Year award. He was veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Sybil Hartley; one son, Master Sgt. Timothy F. Hartley, stationed in Korea; one daughter, Donna Haumesser and husband, Steven, of Seville, Ohio; one sister, Joyce Corbett of Goldsboro; and two grandchildren, Haley and Madison Haumesser.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, George Hartley and Hazel Hartley Jinnette.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Wednesday evening, and other times at the residence.
