MOUNT OLIVE -- Anthony Victor "Tony" Murphey, 21, died Saturday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

He was employed at Pizza Village of Mount Olive and had attended Southern Wayne High School.

Survivors include his parents, Timothy L. "Tim" and Sandra McNeil Murphey of the home; three sisters, Brandy Murphey of the home, Jenny Murphey of Goldsboro, and Renee M. Grady of Grantham; his maternal grandparents, Billy and Betty McNeil of Lenoir; a nephew, Zachary, and a niece, Dia; and his aunts and uncles, P. D. and Paula Kirby of Granite Falls, Carroll and Diana Grady of Mount Olive, Randy and Sally Murphey of Dunn, and Beth Randolph of California.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Tyndall Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Doug Bartlett officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until service time. At other times, they will be at the residence, 185 C. E. Grady Rd., Mount Olive, in the Rhodes Church community.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
