LILLIE HOWELL

PRINCETON -- Lillie Pearl Daughtry Howell, 88, of Howell Road, died Friday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

The funeral was conducted at 11 a.m.. today at the Hephzibah Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Stephenson and the Rev. Craig Langdon officiating. Entombment was in the church cemetery.

Born September 14, 1915, in Johnston County, Mrs. Howell was a daughter of the late Soloman and Ada Bell Wiggs Daughtry and was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jean Massey. She was a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church and was active in its Women's Missionary Organization.

Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Waylon "E.W." Howell; one daughter, Geraldine H. Reardon and her husband, Sherwood, of Princeton; one sister, Bessie Strickland of Dudley; three grandchildren, Jamie Massey of Smithfield, Michael Massey of the Brogden Community and Michelle Langdon of Princeton; and seven great grandchildren.

The family received friends from 7 until 9 on Sunday night at the Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Place Court, Goldsboro, NC., 27534.
