DENNIS BLACKMON
FAISON -- Dennis Roland Blackmon, 54, of 2241 Giddensville Road, died Wednesday at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Blackmon family cemetery. The Reverends Ray Smith, Bobby Trott and Gerald Garris will conduct the service.
Mr. Blackmon was a native of Sampson County and a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Roland Blackman and Thelma Blackmon Oates, and his stepfather, John E. Oates.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Bennett Blackmon of the home; a son, David Roland Blackmon of Faison; a daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Blackmon of the home; a sister, Joan B. Troublefield of Faison; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
