JAMES EVANS
The funeral for James "Pappy" Evans will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Prayer House for Jesus. Bishop C.R. Roberson of Jacksonville will officiate. Burial will be in Elwood Cemetery.
Mr. Evans is survived by one son, Antonio Whitley (Roxanne); three daughters, Dokeonia Loftin, Dequetta Kates and Johnice Whitley of Raleigh; two sisters, Linda Griffin of Washington, D.C., and Barbara Thomas (Willie) of Maryland; two brothers, Leroy Evans of North Carolina and Walter L. Evans of Washington, D.C.; and other relatives and friends.
The viewing will be today from 2 until 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries.
