RICHARD MINTON
PAMPA, Texas -- Richard Leslie Minton, 67, died Tuesday in Amarillo.
He was born in Goldsboro, was retired from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He had lived in Pampa for over 20 years and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Retired Enlisted Men's Association.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Shorter Minton; one daughter, Patricia Stone of Pampa; one son, Herb Minton of Pampa; five sisters, Judy Turner and Elsie Graham of Goldsboro, Lena Brunke of Ormond Beach, Fla., Mary Helen Tall of Jennings, La., and Lessie RIch of Elizabeth City; and one granddaughter.
The funeral will include military rites and will be held by the graveside on Friday morning at 10:30 at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The Rev. Barry Owens will officiate and Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors will be in charge of the service.
