ALEASE DAWSON
Alease Exum Lewis Dawson, 85, of 236 Wayne Avenue, died Sunday at her residence.
The funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.
Mrs. Dawson was the daughter of the late Ananias and Mittie Exum. She attended Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board for a number of years. She was retired from Sleepy Creek Turkey Hatchery.
She is survived by a daughter, Queen Esther Coley; a son, Richard "Gene" Atkinson of Goldsboro; and nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be Thursday from 3 until 8 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home and the family will be there from 7 until 8.
The funeral procession will line up at William Coley's residence at 1101 E. Elm St.
