RUBY S. FREDERICK

Ruby Scott Hargroves Frederick, 80, died Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory. Elder Donnell Hamilton will officiate. Interment will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Mrs. Frederick was born in Sampson County on May 19, 1923, to the late Raymond Wallace and Hattie Hargroves Blue. She was affiliated with Parkers Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Mrs. Frederick is survived by one son, James Frederick of Goldsboro; two daughters, Pastor Adell F. Hamilton and husband, Cleveland, of Goldsboro and Lucile Worrells and husband, Eugene, of Goldsboro; two brothers, James W. Blue and Frank Lee Blue; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of special friends and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lee Frederick, and four children, Raymond, Joseph, Robert, and Nathaniel Hamilton.

The viewing will be held today from 4 until 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Pastor Adell Hamilton, at 142 Orbit Road in Goldsboro.
