HAZEL BEST

Hazel Mae Best, 60, a resident of The Pines of Goldsboro, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall Haywood and Eva Smith Best, and is survived by two sisters, Reba Rae Best Ray of Raleigh and Marsha Best Taylor and husband William R. Taylor III of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; a niece, Shelley Ray Flores and husband R. Thomas Flores, Jr. of Goldsboro; and two great-nephews, Alexander Kendall Flores and Braxton Pate Flores.

The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 until 9 at the funeral home, and at other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. R. Thomas Flores Jr., 105 Twin Oaks Place, Goldsboro.
