The funeral for Charles Devon "Poss" Porter will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Darden Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Dr. George T. Fitzpatrick will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mr. Porter is survived by one daughter, Continnia Crawford of Goldsboro; two sons, Charles Dwight Crawford of Raleigh and Montana Davon of Goldsboro; two sisters, Rosa Porter and Gertie Coley of Goldsboro; one brother, Johnny Porter of Goldsboro; three aunts, Mittie C. Darden of Goldsboro, Margaret Wilson of Silver Spring, Md., and Dorothy Williams of Dudley; one uncle, William Wilson of Silver Spring, Md.; one great-aunt, Anna Davis of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren, a very special niece, Chiquita, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The viewing will be held Saturday from 2 until 8 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home and the family will be there to receive friends from 7 until 8. At other times the family will receive friends at 829 Alabama Avenue.
