MARY ANN SMITH
LAGRANGE -- Mary Ann Hall Smith, 83, widow of Jimmy Smith, died Monday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Cobb Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating.
Mrs. Smith is survived by a daughter, Mattie Nupdal and husband, Roger, of Madison, Wisc.; a son, Dennis James Smith and wife, Margo, of Kinston; two grandchildren, Linton Best and Robert Carr; four great-grandchildren, Lauren, Hope, Spicer and Titus; and a special niece, Marie Carter of LaGrange.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8 at Rouse Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Marie Carter, 206 East James Street, LaGrange.
