GORDON MINSHEW
EUREKA -- Gordon Overman Minshew, 66, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Wayne County and was the son of the late Joel Jacob and Ollie Mae Putnam Minshew.
A gathering to celebrate his life was to be held today at 2 p.m. at Heart of David Church, where he was a member, with the Reverends Richard Allen and Ira Williford officiating. Burial was to be in Eureka Cemetery.
Mr. Minshew is survived by his wife, Denise Godwin Minshew of the home; a brother, Daniel Conny Minshew of Eureka; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Saucier of Goldsboro.
The family was to receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
