VERA D. HILL
KINSTON -- Vera Dunn Hill, 67, of Kinston, died Thursday.
She was wife of the late Milton Lee Hill and was preceded in death by her mother, Fannie Sumrell Dunn. She served as a registered nurse and director of nursing for the past 40 years in facilities throughout eastern North Carolina. She was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church and taught Sunday School most of her adult life.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Wise officiating. Burial will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hill is survived by a daughter, Wendy Suggs and husband, Harvey, of LaGrange; a son, Dale Hill and wife, Dawn, of Wilson; four grandchildren, Ted Suggs, Luke Suggs, Noah Hill and Ava Hill; a sister, Marie Sowers of Hugo; and three brothers, Billy Dunn of Hugo, Bobby Dunn of Kinston and Vann Dunn of Hugo.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 at Rouse Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Suggs, 4190 Harold Sutton Road, LaGrange.
