SMITHFIELD -- James Albert Ray, 62, died Wednesday at his home.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Western Assembly Building in Newton Grove. Bishop C.J. Williams Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ray is survived by his wife, Linda Branch Ray of the home; a daughter, Rochelle Ray Kelly of Columbia, S.C.; two brothers, Felton Ray of Greensboro and Willie Earl Ray of Goldsboro; four sisters, Magdalene Clark of East Orange, N.J., Eva Ray Wilson of Newton Grove, Ethel Adams of Los Angeles, Calif., and Dora Lee Ray of Compton, Calif.
The wake will be held on Saturday from 6 until 7 p.m. at White Oak Church in Newton Grove.
