DONALD STEVENS

Donald "Don" L. Stevens, 62, of 3500 Catherine St., died Wednesday at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory. The Rev. Dennis Pollock and the Rev. James Corbett will officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Princeton.

Mr. Stevens was a native of Wayne County, born on Feb. 27, 1941, to Myrtie Williford Stevens of Goldsboro and the late Eddie L. Stevens. He was a member of Riverside Free Will Baptist Church in Princeton and was co-owner of Stevens Carpets in Goldsboro.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sons, Wayne Stevens and wife, Angie, of Pikeville, Robert Stevens of Dudley, and Don Stevens and wife, Karen, of Goldsboro; three brothers, Bobby Stevens of Goldsboro, Jimmy Stevens and wife, Myra, of Goldsboro, and Linwood Stevens and wife, Linda, of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, Taylor, Alexis, Ryan, and Drew; a special friend, Linda Fields; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Two sisters, Sandra Hughes and Penny Ward, preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro, and other times at the residence.
