ALFRED SAUCIER JR.

Alfred Saucier Jr., 62, of 1932 Carolina Circle, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Berry House officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Saucier was native of Greenville, Maine, and was the son of the late Alfred Saucier Sr. and Ruth Jaynes Saucier. He retired from the National Guard with 31 years of service, was the owner of Tarheel Wholesale Inc., and was a part-time employee of Wayne County Sheriff's Department. He held the degree of Black Belt in Karate and for many years was an instructor at Sewell's Karate.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Godwin Saucier; a daughter, Vickie Lynn Saucier Jackson of Pikeville; two sons, Alfred Saucier III and Mark Saucier of Goldsboro; grandchildren, David Anthony Jackson, Christopher Mark Saucier, Daniel Brooke Saucier, Taylor Renee Saucier, and Alissianna Maree Saucier; stepmother and father, Adronna Saucier and Bob McElroy both of Greenville, Maine; step-daughters, Dianna Hatem Arnold and Kristy Hatem both of Columbia, S. C.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Whitten, and a daughter, Wendy Denise Saucier.

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home from 7 until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, and other times at the residence.
