DOROTHY WOODLEY

Dorothy "Dot" Matthews Woodley, of 1105 S. Andrews Ave., died Tuesday at Britthaven of Smithfield.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Dr. Philip Hunter will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Woodley was born in Harnett County and was the daughter of the late Charlie B. and Cora Johnson Matthews and was the widow of J.H. "Woody" Woodley. She worked at Clinard for many years and was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church and the Rosalyn Harrell Circle and served as treasurer of the Friendship Class for a number of years.

She is survived by one son, Johnny Woodley of Dudley; one daughter, Janet Lane of Goldsboro; and four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Madison Avenue Baptist Church, 1703 E. Laurel St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
