JULIA HAWKINS

MOUNT OLIVE -- A graveside service for Julia Byrd Hawkins will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Price-Martin Cemetery. A memorial service will be held that afternoon at 2 p.m. at Hayes Barton Baptist Church in Raleigh.

Mrs. Hawkins was born and reared in Mount Olive. She and her husband, the late O.B. Hawkins Sr., moved to Raleigh in 1947.

She is survived by two children and four grandchildren, O.B. Hawkins and wife Fran of Bonita Springs, Fla., Elizabeth H. Turlington and husband, Henry, of Raleigh, Chip Hawkins and wife, Kelly, of Cornelius, N.C., Reuben Hawkins and Julie Kindler of Cornelius, Brad A. Turlington and fiancee, Ameshia Melton, of Raleigh, and Tracy T. Manning and husband, John, of Raleigh.

The family will receive friends at the Raleigh residence at 2109 White Oak Road, on Tuesday from 4 until 6:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to Hayes Barton Baptist Church Television Ministry.

Tyndall Funeral Home is serving the family.
