BOBBY L. HEAD

WILLISTON, S.C. -- Bobby Lee Head, 50, of 786 North Windsor Road, died Monday.

He was born in Wayne County and was the son of Milton and Shirley Head of Goldsboro. He graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School and worked for Bridgestone Firestone for 29 years. He had worked in management with the company since 1988, working in Wilson, N.C., McMinnville, Tenn., LaVergne, Tenn. and then as the Kiazen coordinator in Aiken. He was involved in the start up of the Aiken and McMinnville plants.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Patricia Anderson Head, formerly of Goldsboro; a son, Chad Head, of the home; two daughters, Christina Penny and Melissa Noggle of Williston; two bothers, Johnny Head and Jerry Head of Goldsboro; one sister, Debra Barley of Goldsboro; and three grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Cedar Creek Church, where he was a member. Burial will follow on the grounds of the family's residence.

The family will receive friends today from 6 until 9 p.m. at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home, 715 E. Pine Log Road, Aiken.
