DOLLIE ALLEN

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Dollie Mozingo Allen, 83, of 4038 Arrington Bridge Road, in the Indian Springs community, died Sunday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Olive. The Rev. Johnny Sasser and Dr. Jim Whitehead will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Allen was the widow of Charlie Garfield Allen and the daughter of the late Edward Patrick Mozingo and Addie Crawford Mozingo Newsome. She was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church, Dudley, was a retired private duty sitter and a retired department store salesclerk.

She is survived by a daughter, Christine Brock Manning Allen of Grifton; two sons, Charles Raymond Allen of Thomasville, and Ronald Edward Allen of Seven Springs; a brother, Donald Mozingo of Fayetteville; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Bill Kennedy of Goldsboro, Mildred and Howard Barwick of Rocky Mount, Eunice Hines of Dudley, Emma Talton of Goldsboro, Alice Creech of Cayce, S.C., Polly Suiter of Daleville, Ala., William Lutz of Dudley; a sister-in-law, Lucy Knowles Mozingo of Jackson, N.C.; three grandchildren, Linda Brock Spell and husband, Charles Spell of Phoenix, Ariz., David Lee Brock of Grifton and Samuel Kent Manning and wife, Elizabeth of La Grange; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Kent Manning, Deidra Faye Manning, Michael M. Manning, and Chase M. Spell.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Laura M. Lutz, two brothers, Wyatt Mozingo and Troy Mozingo, and three brothers-in-law, Jerry Hines, Leroy Talton, and Jack Creech.

Visitation will be Tuesday night from 7 until 9 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Emmaus Baptist Church; however, flowers are also welcome.
