BERTHA J. HARDY
SEVEN SPRINGS -- Bertha Jones Hardy, 85, of Britthaven Nursing Home, formerly of 4210 Outlaw Bridge Road, died Sunday.
She was the widow of Ralph Hardy, was a retired employee of Kinston Shirt Factory and was a member of the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Albertson.
Survivors include one son, Shelton Ray "Jughead" Hardy of Albertson; a brother, A.V. Jones of Richlands; a sister, Thelma Sanderson of Kinston; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hardy Family Cemetery in Duplin County with the Rev. Joey Crumpler officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Shelton and Renee Hardy, 265 Shelton Hardy Lane, Albertson.
