RAYMOND GILBERT
WILSON -- Raymond B. Gilbert, 79, died today.
He was a World War II veteran and a retired educator.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Forest Hills Baptist Church, 1407 Forest Hills Road.
Mr. Gilbert is survived by his wife, Marie Holland Gilbert; sons, Neal Gilbert of Farmville, Michael Gilbert of Maryland, Craig Gilbert of Durham; daughter, Melissa Gilbert of Wilson; brother, James Gilbert of California; sisters, Ann Smith of Bolivia, Rosa Thornton of New Mexico and Mildred Thompson of Youngsville; and nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial donations may be made to Forest Hills Baptist Church, 1407 Forest Hills Road, Wilson, N.C., 27896; or the Alzheimer's Association, 400 Oberlin Road, Suite 208, Raleigh, N.C., 27605.
The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service on Sunday.
