LILLIE THIGPEN

KINSTON -- Lillie Boyette Thigpen, 89, of 2487 Poole Road, died Thursday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverends Ottis penny and Bobby Houston will officiate. Burial will be in Maxwell Family Cemetery in Albertson.

Mrs. Thigpen was a member of Southwest Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Thigpen, and four sons, Horace, Marvin, Samuel and Morris Thigpen, and one daughter, Ella Mae "Sissy" Futeral.

She is survived by two daughters, Doris White of Kinston and Lillie Ruth Jenkins of Goldsboro; four sons, Furnie "Red" Thigpen, Burnie Thigpen, and Joe "Butch" Thigpen of Kinston and Billy Franklin Thigpen of Seven Springs; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be from 7 until 9 tonight at Pink Hill Funeral Home. At other times the family will receive friends at 2487 Poole Road in Kinston.
