RUFUS L. HUCKS

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Rufus Leon Hucks, 54, died Saturday, Jan. 17, in Rochester.

He was born in Wayne County and was the son of Lena Hucks of Goldsboro and the late Willie A. Hucks. He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School and served in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Sarah Hucks of the home; a daughter, Kimberly Hucks, a student Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich.; two sons, Rufus Hucks, serving with military, and Timothy Hucks of the home; six brothers, Willie Hucks of Dallas, Texas, Bobby Hucks and George Hucks of Goldsboro, Raymond Hucks of Clayton, James Hucks of Columbia, S.C. and Jerry Hucks of Queens, N.Y.; four sisters, Rosa Davis of Queens, N.Y., Alice Skinner of Goldsboro, Neda Moore of Nashville, Tenn., and Kaye Walker of Raleigh.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Williams.

The funeral for Mr. Hucks will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Jefferson Street Seventh-day Adventist Church in Rochester, N.Y., under the direction of Hall Funeral Home.
