JAMES L. GRAHAM

NEWTON GROVE -- James Lester Graham, 81, of 4370 Mount Olive Hwy., was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 18, 2004.

A celebration of life service will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Pleasant Union Christian Church in Newton Grove. Visitation will follow in the fellowship hall. Burial will be on Tuesady at 10 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mr. Graham is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Raynor Graham; sons, Edward and wife Challie of Grantham and Dennis and wife Beth of Princeton; grandchildren, Terry Graham, Angie Grantham and Ashley Graham of Grantham and Lynn Oakes of Faison. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren and two sisters, Eunice Jernigan and Merlene Cox of Grantham; and a special niece, Shirley Graham of Newton Grove.

Mr. Graham was born in Johnston County and was the son of the late Pete and Lettie Graham and was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert and John Earl Grantham and two sisters, Josephine Graham and Peggy Warren.

He was a member of Woodmen of the World and a lifelong member of Pleasant Union Christian Church. He is survied by many nieces, nephews and relatives who loved him very much.
