Katherine Pelt receives Harvard Prize Book

Katherine Pelt, a junior at Goldsboro High School, received a Harvard Prize Book, awarded to outstanding students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and character, combined with achievement in other areas. Pelt, ranked among the top students at her school, has been active in student government, the ecology club and the Key Club, and served as vice president of the National Honor Society. She participates in cross country and track, keeps books for the basketball team and is active in the community by helping students from other countries learn English and volunteering with 4-H.
