Strong winds likely overnight

Locally strong wind gusts of up to 40 mph, associated with showers and isolated thunderstorms, are possible after midnight across the central part of the state.
The showers and isolated thunderstorms may strengthen slightly from morning through midday on Tuesday with an associated risk of locally strong wind gusts up to 45 mph.
Strong southwesterly winds will then gust more frequently as a cold front passes across the area. The strongest gusts of between 35 and 40 mph are possible from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Today will be partly sunny with a high near 69 degrees with a south wind of 3 to 8 mph.
Scattered showers are expected overnight, mainly after 2 a.m. and then it will be mostly cloudy with a low around 57. South winds will be 5 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
The chance of precipitation is 40 percent with new precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 p.m. Tuesday and then a slight chance of showers between p.m. and 4 p.m.
It will be cloudy through mid-morning Tuesday, then gradually clearing with a high near 71 degrees. The wind will be out of the southwest at 16 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph.
There is a 60 percent chance of precipitation Tuesday. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch are possible. Higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.
Tuesday night will be mostly clear with a low around 35 with a west wind 6 to 8 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
