Businesses remain open despite weather

Last night's snowfall has not stopped many local businesses from opening, as restaurants and grocery stores across the county are operating on regular hours today.
For anyone looking to pick up groceries in Goldsboro, Harris Teeter and Carlie C's on Wayne Memorial Drive are open for business. Food Lion on Ash Street and Piggly Wiggly on Lionel Street are also open, though Piggly Wiggly will close at 6 p.m.
Elsewhere in the county, the Piggly Wiggly at 615 N. Brezeale Ave. in Mount Olive is open. The Mar-Mac Food Lion at 118 Five Points road is also open, as is the Food Lion in Pikeville at 4700 U.S. 117.
Restaurants around Goldsboro are also open. Fast food options like McDonalds on Berkeley Boulevard and Taco Bell on Ash Street are open, as well as Ninja Express and McAlister's on Berkeley.
For those willing and able to head downtown, Jay's Sushi and Burger Bar is open, as is Torero's Mexican Restaurant.
