A 24-year-old Dudley man told Goldsboro police that a gun was pointed at him and then used to assault him.

The man told police he was escorting a woman during a chid custody exchange shortly after 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 24, at parking lot at 2120 Wayne Memorial Drive.

She was dropping her child off to spend the weekend with the suspect, a 22-year-old Goldsboro man, he said.

However, the suspect became hostile when he saw the woman with the victim, according to the police report.

The victim said the suspect then pulled a handgun from the waistband of his pants and pointed it at him and then hit him in the chin with the gun before getting into his car and leaving the scene.

Police advised the victim to secure a warrant on the suspect.
